Diamond Rail Group’s appraisal and valuation services cover new, used, and rebuilt/restored railcars and locomotives and are performed by our team of highly experienced mechanical personnel. Our inspectors and appraisers have a combined 200+ years of experience with a highly varied portfolio of equipment and mechanical services, as well as railroad operations and FRA compliance. Our clients have included class one railroads, regionals, shortlines, tourist railroads, railroad museums, equipment leasing companies, and private railcar owner/operators.

Property assessments, improvement valuations, and various cost to cure assessments can be performed by our team as well. We can provide infrastructure and right-of-way valuations, as well as improvement plans. Appraisals can be also be reviewed by an independent third party for further assurance of accuracy.

Net Liquidation Value

Working with our team of colleagues we are able to provide Net Liquidation Values for many scenarios. A Net Liquidation Value is a tool used to determine the overall collateral value of all assets constructed on a railroad right-of-way. Assets in any condition can be calculated into the overall value to determine viability of operations, loan amounts, and other various needs.
